I can agree i have contacted quite a few Politician's regarding Brendan
and have spoken to a few high up ones in Northern ireland and Scotland
the ones that seem interested are not SNP.
yesterday Brendan got a mandate from a minister who has a high ranking position
in London.
and wants to go over all the paperwork as he has a legal background i hope when he goes over it he will see a Miscarraige of justice has happened in Brendans case.
do i trust the SNP?
well i thought they were going to blow away the cobwebs from our justice system but it has not happened yet.

nice to see you back, but sad to see these issues remain unresolved.
It surely doesn't take too much to be seen to do the right thing, and ignoring the plight of the person in the case you are referring to, is definitely not doing the right thing on the part of the Justice Secretary or the First Minister.
Perhaps as people are now suggesting and you have mentioned, a gathering at Bute House may be a way to get some attention to issues of injustice which do need to be dealt with rather than be allowed to drag on simply because some are so insidiously profiting from the plight of people suffering injustice. _________________ My blog on issues of injustice in Scotland A Diary of Injustice in Scotland by Peter Cherbi

It is possible to organise a protest but what will it achieve ?
How many will Attend ?
What publicity will it get ?
While I have support from an SNP MSP in the shape of Bill Kidd I must agree that MacAskill is not fit the job he is tasked with.
His silence on many issues of injustice speaks volumes and most noteably Lockerbie.
His silence on the way our Judiciary is being run also speaks volumes while one appeal is allowed others with the exact same grounds are being cast aside because it is not in the interests of the justice system to allow them for one reason or another.
It seems no matter what grounds of appeal you have it all comes down to who you are complaining of.
I support a call for a change of "Justice Minister"
Sorry Mr MacAskill but your time and support for your lawyer Colleagues must come to an end, if you are not prepared to go against them and stand up for truth, openness, accountabilty and fairness.
Yes I would support a protest outside the residence of our first minister to highlight the many cases coming to this forum but it must at all times be peaceful.
We need a justice minister who is not a Lawyer and therefore not duty bound by law Society rules and regulations.

I certainly think this idea should be followed through, but I wonder if a "Vigil for Injustice" outside Bute House as a continuing theme might be more productive, as well as a protest too of course.
It is time to publicise the levels of injustice in Scotland and something must now be done about it rather than letting things drag on, because the writing is on the wall these politicians would rather swagger around in office than actually attend to issues they are for the main responsible for causing in the first place. _________________ My blog on issues of injustice in Scotland A Diary of Injustice in Scotland by Peter Cherbi

Al, Peter, Kevin and the many more who write here about injustice's.
There must be no half baked attempts here, We must get this organized properly.
Everyone must give 110% or no point in even continuing the debate on whether to go with it or not.
All or nothing.
People must be prepared to camp outside Bute House if the need be.
I order to get the show on the road posters must be made, Flyers ready to hand out to unsuspecting public members who have no idea what we will be calling for.
I would suggest that people make their own flyers regarding their own cases to dish out highlighting our blogs etc etc.
I would also suggest we make disclosure one of our main aims.
Anyway this will not happen until we have the bodies guaranteed and confirmed who on the forum and elsewhere is willing to participate.
Numbers need to be confirmed before I am willing to even consider making any flyers or posters.
Maybe we could even take out an advert of some sort and highlight it in Herald and Scotsman's comments pages ?
