The innocent projects move into Scotland was highlighted about two weeks ago in the Scottish media. I contacted them about 2 years ago and again when i heard they had moved into Scotland.

http://www.innocencenetwork.org.uk/innocenceprojects.htm

It was deemed a hit down in England and Wales, and has cases like Simon Hall and 2 people from Dumfries prison on there books.

Paddy and John from Mojo will open the project this week 12/11/08.

This is an excellent move.  I read about it a while ago, before joining this forum.

As you, all know it has been extremely successful in the United States, serving every State except two, and I do not think it will be long before those two States are served, as they are currently undergoing some reorganization.

They have an excellent record of accomplishment particularly in the use of DNA.

This good news for those wrongly convicted.

Thank you Big Wullie, Kevin and Scotkaz for promoting this and for giving information about how to do to attend.

Bless Paddy Hill, John MacManus Innocence Network Management Team and others like them for the important work they do. They give the innocent men women and children the Voice and bring Hope that one day the Truth will be found and real Justice will be done.

A University with a project that focuses on and also highlights miscarriages of Justice that is fantastic. We have not yet had the opportunity to meet Paddy Hill but we have met John and bless them for what they do and those with them!!
The work that MOJO does and we only know a little from speaking with John and reading on MOJO web page and here at Shirley forum are so incredible important.
This project, the first of its kind in Scotland will truly grace the men and women with hope. Our hearts fights for all that is innocently put to jail for crimes they did not commit.
Let us all hope and pray that the student’s fire and passion for the law will inspire them to dig deep into the different injustice cases.
They are young, full of passion, hungry for knowledge, to get the truth and justice. We hope and pray that the evidence that the students find and share with the local criminal solicitors will be looked upon as very important evidence and that the Scottish Criminal Case Review Commission will decide to refer the cases to the High Court of Justiciary.

This project will also give hope to the many families, that need to get their loved ones back home free, graced with proper treatments, supported, with proper compensation, support to rehabilitation with the focus of being able to function despite of all the different Trauma that they have been through. Our heart cries out to the many children where one of their parents is put to jail, they truly need extra support and care.

We are sorry not to be able to attend to the launch but we are there in our thoughts!

Yes, Big Wullie, good to see the Innocence network move up to Scotland.

Good luck to all and I'm sure the project will make a great contribution to issues of injustice in Scotland.
