Yet still nothing was done. To the detached observer it seems at best incredible, and at worst heinously negligent, that no-one properly intervened.

When you are fully informed of any wrongdoing, criminality and injustice, and you choose not to properly act and intervene to put an immediate stop to that wrongdoing, criminality and injustice, then you too are undoubtedly complicit, culpable and guilty for your actions or inactions.

... even one injustice in Scotland is one too many [Yes ... this case IS one injustice too many Iain, as you rightly say. An appalling travesty of justice then, that NOBODY did a thing about. So much for all those so-called champions and crusaders against injustice!]
To sin by SILENCE when they should protest makes cowards of men
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil [and INJUSTICE] is for good men to do nothing
Indeed ... no names, but there are many out there, those so-called "champions against injustice" and "brave, bold, respected, honest and investigative" journalists, who should search their consciences over this appalling case of abuse, neglect and INJUSTICE ... and hang their heads in SHAME (... on you all). |

A tragedy in the real sense of the word.
Stuart Gair was a victim of a system that shames the name of Scotland.
His passing certainly makes me more determined than ever to work for reform of that system.
My thoughts are with Mr. Gair's family and friends. |

Poor Stuart may you rest in peace in heaven.
And for all those scum who knowingly and wrongly convicted you of a crime that they knew you did not commit, when their time comes may they all rot and burn in Hell.
My thoughts and prayers are with Stuarts family and friends. |

Very sad to hear the news of Stuart Gair's death, and just when he should have been compensated too for the terrible injustice our terrible Scottish justice system perpetrated upon him.
His death should not mitigate any inquiry or accounting which should be made upon those who caused his suffering and thrived on the injustice which destroyed his life. _________________ My blog on issues of injustice in Scotland A Diary of Injustice in Scotland by Peter Cherbi

Last night when I as usual lighted candles for Annie, Kevin Mcleod and for Annie Davies I lighted one more for Stuart Gair!
When I was standing there in the dark and looked at all the candles, I thought my God who
Will be next? And that brought tears into my eyes!
Do not stand at their grave and weep.
They are not there, they do not sleep.
They are the thousand winds that blow.
They are the diamond glints on snow.
They are the sunlight on ripened grain.
And the gentle autumnal rain.
When we awake in the morning hush,
They are the soft uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
They are the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at their grave and cry.
They are not there, They did not die.
Suddenly I thought about that “we are not alone” and our loved ones that are in Heaven, they are not alone!! Annie, Kevin, Annie.D and Stuart look down on us and I am sure that together they will give us the strength to go on!
And we all who loved them are not alone! And together we will be stronger and stronger in our work and fight for truth and justice.
Finally we will get the truth out in the open!! The truth can be hidden to one person if he or she does not have any supporting friends , but the truth can not be hidden to hundreds and hundreds of concerned people that work together against the non functioning Justice system!!
Their memory demands no less.
They will never be forgotten!!
And neither what happened to them!
And tonight when I light all the candles I will think of the ones that did this, to our loved ones
And I will pray that;
“Their day will come and Justice will be done!”
Our thoughts and prayers are with Stuart Gairs family and friends tonight.
