Once again the police tactics in major enquiries is under scrutiny.

Who would have thought years ago the police would have resorted to such Bullying with their own Officers.

It is much more in the open now that this type of thing happened then and continues to happen.

Well done to the Officer for now coming forward and alerting the general public who really do not have any idea that this happens but why did she not come forward at the time, She could have changed the course of this enquiry at the time had she come forward.

The major question one must ask here is:

Has she waited till they refused her a promotion ?

Actually 12 officers have now said they were bullied if the story is true:

Policewoman admits she was bullied into changing Hillsborough statement
Apr 26 2009 Jane Smith

A HILLSBOROUGH policewoman has become the first officer to admit she was bullied into changing her statement to cover-up bungles.

Debra Martin originally told how a 15-year-old boy died in her arms at 3.55pm on the day of the tragedy.

But senior officers branded her a "liar" and forced her to change the time in her statement to 3.15pm to hide the fact he could have been saved if police allowed more ambulances onto the pitch.

Debra, 45, is the first member of South Yorkshire Police to go public - and her evidence could prove vital in a potential new inquiry.

She said: "The whole thing made me feel sick and angry..

These families deserve the truth after all these years." She revealed she received four separate visits from senior officers, hounding her to change her statement.

She also said she receieved "hate mail" at work.

Debra is believed to have been among at least 12 officers who were ordered to change their statements to conform to the official line..

I think you need to be a very strong person to stand up against the whole police force.

Maybe she has recently felt she would be listened to.

Maybe she could no longer live with her conscience

Maybe she read some of the comments on the BBC website and discovered the public anger at the police over Hillsborough

Maybe she felt spiteful at not getting her promotion and felt her silence was no longer worth it.

Will we ever really know
