Chalmers 1954 To Cadder 2010 By Peter Duffhttp://www.euppublishing.com/doi/pdfplus/10.3366/elr.2015.0271
I found this document very refreshing.
I thought Cadder meant you were entitled to have a solicitor present while being questioned by the police and not just prior to interview.
Some reasons I have heard why accused decline a solicitor is the time it will take to have one available means they will be in police custody longer.
Imagine a drug addict desperate for their next fix.
