PostPosted: Tue Sep 11, 2012 3:06 pm    Post subject: SCCRC Refer Wullie Becks Case Back To Appeal Court  Reply with quote

On 7th September I received a statement of reasons from SCCRC referring my case back to appeal court.

I want to first of all, to thank all involved with my case at SCCRC, and everyone who has supported me over the years particularly Iain McKie for all his help and support.

Most importantly I want to thank the Innocent Project at Bristol University whom without their help I have no doubt the SCCRC would not have referred my case.

I cannot thank Dr Michael Naughton, Gabe Tan, students Mark & Ryan enough for all their hard work, and for this I will be forever in their debt.

I have had the benefit of reading the statement of reasons over the weekend and have no doubt whatsoever it was the Innocent Project that convinced SCCRC to refer my case.

For legal reasons I will not be able to discuss the grounds of appeal nor the merits of my case any further until such times as my appeal comes to a conclusion.

I hope everyone will respect this decision.

Once again many many thanks to SCCRC and to the Innocent Project.

I am told there will be a press release tomorrow on the website of SCCRC for anyone interested the following should be the link:

Wullie

I cannot begin to express how delighted me, Frank and my entire family are with this wonderful news.

This has been a long time coming and so deserved.

Thank God for people like Michael Naughton and his Innocence Project and of course our very own Iain McKie:)

Thank goodness too that the SCCRC have really looked at your case and did the right thing.

Of course it is understandable that you cannot discuss these details online and I know people will respect that.

I also know everyone will be as delighted as I am right now.

Justice For Wullie Beck !!!!!

The interview can be heard on the link above. Move along to 1 hour 50 mins to hear Wullie and Michael Naughton talk about the referral.
