Giving Evidence
They want to make up their minds with this case.
Apparently there is plenty of evidence to place the guy at his work with Phone calls and CCTV footage etc yet this Judge Decides to Virtually Ignore all this because he never gave evidence.
Now the crown don't want his evidence heard
What a Sham.
Sounds very similar to the many cases now surfacing in Scotland.
The most shocking aspect is that they tried to claim they lifted his Fingerprint from the DVD or Video yet the Experts say: The print was lifted from a Round Object, No wonder Crown don't want his evidence heard.
It sounds very likely that every aspect of the Crowns case here has been Fabricated.
Please keep us all updated of the outcome Iain
Thanks

Dear Truthseeker,
Robert Burns had a lot to say about man's inhumanity to man and the power of the state and his words are as relevant today as they ever were.

As the Fred van der Vyver trial in South Africa shows his words have international application.
Fred's trial has now ended and he and his family await the verdict expected on 29 November.
While my thoughts are with them they are also with the family of murder victim Inge Lotz. Her murder was a tragedy that few of us can really appreciate.

| Let us question once again the arbitrary leaps and beliefs of the mind, however brilliant, which may be but a bizarre fictionalisation and hath no root in truth. |

A great day for justice in South Africa
Fred van der Vyver has been acquitted of the murder of Inge Lotz.
The Independent Online reports:
| Quote: | Fred van der Vyver, the former old Mutual actuary accused of the murder of his girlfriend Inge Lotz was on Thursday found not guilty in the Cape High Court.
A packed public gallery loudly applauded the verdict, pronounced by judge Deon van Zyl as the court adjourned for lunch.
Van der Vyver, who had been seated throughout the three hour judgment was ordered to stand before the judge pronounced the verdict.
As he heard the words, "you are found not guilty," he took a deep breathe and turned his head upwards as if saying a silent prayer and then forced back tears.
His senior counsel, Doep de Bruin, of Port Elizabeth, jumped from the defence bench into the dock to embrace the weeping man. | Many serious questions remain to be asked about the prosecution of this case and the validity of the forensic evidence presented but for now my thoughts are with Fred and his family as they come to terms with the ending of their terrible ordeal.
I am also thinking of the family of Inge Lotz who having had their daughter cruelly taken from them now have to face the inevitable pain of not knowing who killed her.
Let’s hope that they do not have to face the lying and cover up that so many have experienced in fighting to ascertain the truth.

Great news
Having followed every link Iain has posted in this case, I am delighted at the outcome of this trial.
Once again fingerprint experts from America have proven prints are not "infallible" as was proven in Shirley McKies case.
Well done Guys keep up the good work Pat and Arie.

| Only half of the truth has been found in this case. Fred is innocent - but who murdered Inge Lotz, remains the question. |

| Truthseeker is absolutely right. The judge issued a lengthy verdict in which he found the police guilty of coverup and perjury, and then pronounced Fred not only "not guilty," but actually innocent. The South Africa Police Service (SAPS) have said they need to study his words before they reply. That makes me think they plan a cover up and denial campaign the way SCRO did in Shirley's case. If so, me and some of the others will wage battle the way we have since 1999 for Shirley and the truth. SAPS would be well advised to start action immediately, not wait and study the judge's words and check with their legal staff to figure out how to avoid responsibility and sweep things under the carpet. |
