Yet still nothing was done.  To the detached observer it seems at best incredible, and at worst heinously negligent, that no-one  properly intervened.

When you are fully informed of any wrongdoing, criminality and injustice, and you choose not to properly act and intervene to put an immediate stop to that wrongdoing, criminality and injustice, then you too are undoubtedly complicit, culpable and guilty for your actions or inactions.

... even one injustice in Scotland is one too many [Yes ... this case IS one injustice too many Iain, as you rightly say.  An appalling travesty of justice then, that NOBODY did a thing about.  So much for all those so-called champions and crusaders against injustice!]

Indeed ... no names, but there are many out there, those so-called "champions against injustice" and "brave, bold, respected, honest and investigative" journalists, who should search their consciences over this appalling case of abuse, neglect and INJUSTICE ... and hang their heads in SHAME (... on you all).

Al,

Alex Salmond is committed to a judicial enquiry and this means the new Cabinet Secretary for Justice, Kenny MacAskill, is also committed.

You might have read my letter in yesterday's ‘Herald’ seeking to persuade that the enquiry be broadened to examine the overall causes of injustice in Scotland as exemplified in Shirley’s case and Lockerbie etc.

http://www.theherald.co.uk/featur...tters/display.var.1404476.0.0.php

I feel it is important that everyone who feels aggrieved about the way they have been dealt with by the Scottish justice system makes their feelings known to the new government and in letters to the media.

I am not naïve enough to believe that those with a vested interest in the continuance of the present system will not try to undermine any such enquiry. For the moment however I am certainly willing to accept Mr. Salmond’s promise as an indication that he truly intends to change the way we are governed.

Best wishes,

Iain

Al Above

Since most of your links contain comments i have made myself on Mr MacAskill can i also ask you to read the Following.
http://www.mojoscotland.com/robert_brown/robert_brown1.html

You will note that he did help the case of Robert Brown and fought for Disclosure in his case.
It would not now be possible for him to deny anyone this same priviledge.
you will also see that in the biggest majority of Miscarriages there is the fact that Crown Withheld information, Mr Macaskill must now look into why Crown are still delaying trials by refusing to reveal statements. See my other comments on disclosure at the following

http://sccrcunjustdecisions.myfastforum.org/about3.html

I would also say to give MacAskill the chance Write to him even if you have any concerns.

Hi Al

I sincerely wish there was more people like yourself to support these dreadful Miscarriages not only in Shirleys case and mine but them all.
In Regards to Kenny MacAskill i am willing to let him get his feet in the door and his ar-e on the seat then i will be making representations to him in regards to my case (And await his response before any more protests or snide comments) after all he has now moved up the ladder and is now responsible for Justice for our Country and as such should at the very least "investigate" any claims of Injustice which would also mean he investigates complaints of Malpractice and Misconduct within the Ranks of SCCRC, He can no longer fob anyone off by saying they are outwith his constituency.
Al Thanks for taking the time to read all my comments, Even responding in this way. It's great to know that my quest is starting to reach the people of Scotland, And hopefully further.
I will continue until Justice is served.
Kind Regards

Big Wullie
