Maria & Guje

Just as I warned you previously, dont hold your breath for a reply / response from any of these corrupt, warped, disrespectful politicians.

In 12 Years fighting for justice for Kevin, not once have they responded or helped.

As I have said over and over again, they along with the Police, Crown, Procurator Fiscals all P--- in the same pot, therefore they are ALL corrupt and rotten to the core.

Again - Dont hold your breath.

This is what I got from his website.    However, I assume this information is as you already have.     Persevere.

"Kenny holds surgeries, by appointment, most Friday mornings in his constituency office.

However he is happy to meet with constituents at any convenient time since he is located in Edinburgh. He also makes arrangements to visit sheltered housing complexes to meet with people who find it difficult to travel to his office.

Call his PA Karen Newton on 0131 348 5012 if you need an urgent appointment.

Many problems are dealt with by letter. Feel free to write to Kenny MacAskill MSP at Office M1.07, The Scottish Parliament, Holyrood, Edinburgh, EH99 1SP.

Kenny's website also gives details for contacting him and also details of what he has been doing in Parliament and is updated on a weekly basis".

Dear All of You

The date for The Silent Walk For Justice has now been set to December 4, 2008.

Unfortunately Mr. MacAskill has chosen not to reply to tell us if he will meet the participants of The Walk or not. However his private secretary yesterday told me that he is very well informed about the event, but then still had not decided if he wants to meet with us. I therefore already yesterday informed her, the department and the Parliament that the Walk will take place December 4, in case we were not to be given a reply before 14.00 pm today. I have also informed about that the time 17.00 pm. Dec.4 will be reserved for Mr. MacAskill to meet with The Silent Walk For Justice.

We will now inform everyone that has showed interest in joining the Silent Walk about the programme and security rules, and go on with the advertising and other arrangements surrounding The Walk. Request for the necessary permissions has been sent to Edinburgh Council, I have also been speaking to them on the phone. I have also been in contact with the Police by E-mail, and since no road closures are needed there should be no problems with the Police permission for The Walk they say.

The Programme and Security rules will be posted on this topic shortly. Hope to see you all at the Silent Walk For Justice! Together we will be strong, and we believe that this will be a very important step in the coming work for justice!

Take care, Guje.

I would just like to say, that it would be impossible for me to be there.

Nevertheless, I wish everyone who takes part in this every success.

just joined the forum; my first post.
I won't be attending the walk but would have had I been here.
Suggest that everyone writes to McAskill and other MSPs and follow up their letters to ensure they are acted on.
I copy and paste my letter.

Kenny MacAskill MSP
The Scottish Parliament
Edinburgh
EH99 1SP                                                                                           15/11/2008

Dear Mr MacAskill

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” - Martin Luther King

Unfortunately, I shall not be able to participate in the silent walk for justice on the 4th Dec. to demonstrate my dissatisfaction of the NHS Complaint Procedures, the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman, and the Procurator Fiscal's office.
I am, instead, submitting my own representation to you and to ask that you add my name to the list of discontents and to make it known to your parliamentary colleagues.

My own personal experience involves the cover-up, by the institutions named above, into the circumstances of my father’s death in 1998 while he was in the care of the NHS. Since then there has been some cosmetic changes of the NHS Complaint Procedures but the problem of cover-up remains. The system, in my opinion, is a farce and it is dishonest.
2+ years ago my wife died in the care of NHS. Again the so-called independent institutions are now defending the mistakes of doctors. It seems that whatever changes are made, the problem remains: the cover-up of mistakes.
I have, over the last 10 years discovered, that I am not alone in experiencing this: we are many in UK.
I am of the mind now that, unless the institutions can prove that there was no wrong doing, then the probability is that there was. So much of politics in this country is about cover-ups. Given the number of adverse incidents estimated by The Dept of Health’s Chief Medical Officer and from other sources, one should be asking why are so few complaints upheld?  People do not undergo lengthy and hostile complaint procedures just for their enjoyment or because they have nothing better to do with their time. I know because I have had to endure them and, I suspect, most politicians have not. It may surprise politicians to learn that people become complainants because they have reason to be.

So strongly do I feel about the cover-up of mistakes that I have made my stories public.

And I shall support anyone else to do the same in the hope that our actions embarrass you and other politicians out of your complacent beliefs that your parliamentary-appointed institutions are impartial or that they provide justice to people who have been wronged by the state and its institutions. I hold MSPs accountable; they are aware of the problem but do nothing to change it.

Over the years I have had occasion to refer other complaints to various other  Ombudsmen and regulatory bodies. It may surprise you to learn that none were upheld.

It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself.” ~Thomas Jefferson

Yours sincerely

I plan to travel from Argyll & Bute to make the Silent Walk for Justice on 4th December .
I will also write today to our local newspaper to publicise the Walk and to offer a lift to anyone who wishes to join me .
Like most  contributors I am painfully aware of just how neglected the need for justice presently is in this country of ours and how much poorer our lives are because of it .
I am very grateful to the Walk's organisers for all their sterling work under extremely difficult circumstances .
I hope that our Cabinet Secretary for Justice will recognise his obligation to meet us and that all of Scotland will recognise the strength and necessity of our protest .

Our telephone number: 07940-076-697

Looking forward in seeing you soon!
