They haven't learned much on how to respond to issues of injustice, but publishing this material and encouraging others to do so will help to throw the spotlight on the Executive and the people who are part of that injustice - prolonging the suffering of members of the public who are illegitimately asking for help because they have nowhere else to turn to.

If the SNP Executive don't ultimately do something positive on this issue - then squarely gone is their claim to be a break from the past.

FAO
Justice Secretary
Lord Advocate
Solicitor General.
First Minister.

22 Oct 2007.

MURDER OF KEVIN MCLEOD. WICK 1997

Dear Sir / Madam,

Kevins parents and I his uncle would be grateful if at least one or all of you would show some compassion, dignity and respect to a grieving family fighting for justice by personally becoming involved in this utter "Shambles" created by Northern Constabulary Police Force.

We have for 10 years had delaying tactics, barriers erected and nothing but disrespect not only from Northern Constabulary but also crown office officials.( Enough Is Enough.)

Mr Macdonald the PF Instructed police to conduct a murder inquiry after the patholigist informed him that the injuries Kevin sustained was consistent with "A Kicking" received several hours before death and prior to entering the water and that the injuries in themselves would have been fatal.

The police then dramatically failed to conduct a proper Murder enquiry by failing in near every police procedure in the police manual for a Murder Investigation as confirmed By Central Scotland Chief Constable Andrew Cameron in his redacted "Secret Report" released in January 2007 by Mr Kevin Dunion, the information commissioner only after pressure from the family.

Kevins case has to and must be re-investigated rigourisly by an independent police force which has the experience, integrity and ability to investigate a murder Investigation which Northern Constabulary without doubt has not got.

This case which is still high profile with the press and media and which has been the subject of two television documentaries must now have your personnal intervention to end this farcical shambles and hopefully convict those who we believe was responsible for murdering Kevin.

Your "Personnal Intervention" in this case would be welcomed and appreciated by Kevins parents and I.

Yours Sincerely

Mr Allan Mcleod.

FAO - Mr A. Salmond
First Minister.

12 November 2007,

DEATH OF KEVIN MCLEOD.

Dear Mr Salmond,

I refer to my attached letter of 22 October 2007 of which to date you have failed to respond.

The reason my family, friends and I voted for you and your party was due to your policies that you promised if elected, but moreso you yourself appeared to be an honest, determined and down to earth person in your support when campaigning along side the Cod Crusaders.

We all agreed that you was indeed the right person to change Scotland for the better.

Therefore, that is why my family and I agreed to contact you in the hope that you and or Mr Macaskill will personally intervene regarding this Utter Shambles and Nightmare that Northern Constabulary Police Force has created regarding both their seriously flawed and botched Murder investigation in relation to Kevins Horrific death, also our subsequent complaints which was neither lodged or registered by Northern Constabulary, but completely and simply ignored.

Therefore my family and I would welcome if you as First Minister would show some Compassion Dignity and Respect to a grieving family fighting for justice by at the very least acknowledging and or responding to our attached letter of concern.

Your response regarding my familys letter of concern would be respected and appreciated.

Yours Sincerely
Mr Allan Mcleod.

KEVIN MCLEOD CASE.
I have today just recevied a response (below) from the Police Powers,Performance and Resources Division, in response to the above two letters which was addressed to the First Minister. ( Talk about Corruption) It Stinks.!! The very people we are fighting against receives our correspondence. Maybe Im wrong but is the First Minister not breaking the Data Protection Act (section 3Cool by disclosing personal details to a third party?
(The very party we are fighting Against) Also slight mistake in their letter should read (Nephew) not Son.
THIS IS WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST FOLKS !!! - A CORRUPT SYSTEM.

Letter Reads as Follows ------

Dear Mr Mcleod,
Thank you for your emails to the First Minister and Mr MacAskill dated 22 22 October 2007 and for your letter to the First Minister dated 12 November. Your emails and letters have been passed to the Police and Community Safety Directorate at the Scottish Government and I have been asked to reply on Ministers behalf.

We have read your emails carefully about the tragic loss of your son Kevin and appreciate the importance you attach to your request for personal intervention by Scottish Ministers. However, the Police(Scotland) act 1967 clearly defines the roles of Scottish Ministers and Chief Constables, and makes it clear that Chief Constables are entirely responsible for Operational matters affecting their force including complaints against their own officers.

Neither the First Minister Nor Mr MacAskill can intervene or comment on Individual cases. I hope that you will appreciate that it is therefore not appropriate for them to Personally intervene in these ciircumstances.
I am sorry that my reply could not be more helpful.

Yours Sincerely
Lynsey Surtees.

Yet still nothing was done.  To the detached observer it seems at best incredible, and at worst heinously negligent, that no-one  properly intervened.

When you are fully informed of any wrongdoing, criminality and injustice, and you choose not to properly act and intervene to put an immediate stop to that wrongdoing, criminality and injustice, then you too are undoubtedly complicit, culpable and guilty for your actions or inactions.

... even one injustice in Scotland is one too many [Yes ... this case IS one injustice too many Iain, as you rightly say.  An appalling travesty of justice then, that NOBODY did a thing about.  So much for all those so-called champions and crusaders against injustice!]

To sin by SILENCE when they should protest makes cowards of men

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil [and INJUSTICE] is for good men to do nothing

Indeed ... no names, but there are many out there, those so-called "champions against injustice" and "brave, bold, respected, honest and investigative" journalists, who should search their consciences over this appalling case of abuse, neglect and INJUSTICE ... and hang their heads in SHAME (... on you all).

Yes AL, How right you are. It appears you, I and many others on this forum are without any doubt whatsoever fighting a corrupt and rotten to the core Justice system.

As you quite rightly said they can and do intervene when it suits their own self-promoting / serving political ends. Oh Yes.

The Problem With the Justice System in Scotland is that they, Justice Secretary, Lord Advocate, Crown Officials, PFs, Chief Constables, and Complaints Commissioner all Pee in the same pot.

How do we over come this Scenario. ???

What was I thinking of voting for Salmond And MacAskill, thinking that they were both reliable, honest to their word men.

How wrong I was !! They are just as corrupt as Maconnel & Jamieson.

Is there anyone out there that we on this forum can trust ??
