Dear Peter,

Concur with your very wise words again – “Mutual appreciation society” R Us!

If only our new SNP Scottish Government (they prefer Government to Executive, I’m sure … and I have noted the BBC in London are using this more often these days) would take on board all what you say above – especially about LISTENING PROPERLY to the many (thousands of) Scots who have suffered injustices and wrong-doing at the hands of “crooked”, incompetent or downright negligent legal “representation” over the years. “Doubting Thomas” here won’t be holding his breath, I’m afraid. But your sentiments are of course correct and what should now be happening.

I note that Iain has linked “The Impact of Lockerbie” Topic on the front page of his website. He is of course spot on when he writes in his opening gambit that it is “a matter of cataclysmic importance to all those who value Scotland and its justice system”. It will be a huge story UK and world-wide next week when the SCCRC issue their 3-year inquiry verdict on Megrahi’s case. As I said earlier, and we all know, the ramifications are going to be MASSIVE for everyone involved or closely associated to the case … and for the future credibility and “integrity” of Scotland’s JUSTICE System. The eyes of the world will be on our JUSTICE System once more ...... What will they think of us, i wonder?

If Messrs Salmond, MacAskill and the new SNP Executive (sorry, Government) don’t initiate the “full, proper, thorough and WHOLLY INDEPENDENT judicial / public inquiry” into the whole Lockerbie saga (“cover-up”), then we will know where we stand with them and will have to take appropiate action … against their inaction. They MUST act swiftly and appropriately when the huge fall-out begins next week – starting with initiating a FULL PUBLIC / JUDICIAL INQUIRY as demanded on this forum, by Dr Jim Swire and by many others.

On another serious note: I would like to express publicly my belated condolences and anger over the loss of your mother a few years ago in the most tragic and appalling circumstances - as well-documented and detailed on your website. The “scumbags” who fleeced her in the cruel, wicked and, yes, “evil” manner they did should be thoroughly ashamed – and severely / properly punished.

Keep writing and exposing wrong-doing Peter - you're an inspiration and example to all who are fighting injustice in Scotland and beyond.

Best wishes,

Al

I hear some strong articles are being readied on the Lockerbie case and the SCCRC report, which may already be 'around' .... so interesting times ahead and time to take the gloves off to make sure we get our inquiry and all these issues of injustice are tackled and cleaned up.

Certainly the opposition (those who thrive on injustice) have taken their gloves off to prevent our success at any cost .. so time to meet them half way for the inquiry ahead.

Thanks for the thoughts on what happened to my mum. A sad case, and even though I did a bit of a campaign against the Hospital to expose their negligence - they still managed to kill off a few more patients in exactly the same way and they certainly had some revenge on me for it too ... terrible time, and the people I have exposed have tried to use everything and every smear they could create against me but at the end of the day, it's just part of the injustice we all have to suffer - where even playing with lives is just a sport to those crooks who thrive on corruption and keeping people .

Time to rid Scotland of such injustice and tell the world what has been going on.

Kenny MacAskill MSP
Scottish Parliament
Edinburgh
Scotland
UK
EH99 1SP

Sunday 17 June 2007

Mr MacAskill

My daughter, Annie Borjesson (7 February 1975 – 4 December 2005)

There are no words in the Swedish, Scots or English language that can begin to express the pain, torment and distress that a parent has when having to lay to rest one’s child in the prime of their life. In the normal order of things, that should just never happen. But next week in Lagmansholm, Sweden, I will be that tormented parent grieving at my daughter’s graveside, still asking “Why?” and “How?” this has happened … still searching for the proper answers and the truth behind my daughter’s very mysterious death.

Annie (Borjesson), my 30-year-old daughter, lived and worked in Edinburgh, Scotland, until her premature death, when her body was discovered on Prestwick beach in Ayrshire around 8.30am on the morning of Sunday 4 December 2005. I am only being permitted to bury Annie now, some 19 months on, as the last medical tests have finally been performed and her body has been released to my family by the Swedish authorities. This delay, in itself, has caused great distress and heartache to my family and Annie’s friends.

The “verdict” on Annie’s death by the local constabulary and Procurator Fiscal’s Office in Kilmarnock was either “suicide” or “tragic accident” – neither of which we (Annie’s family, close Swedish friends and many Scottish friends) can believe or accept. We believe that Annie was in fear for her life when she rang home from Edinburgh during the week leading up to her death. She even went to the length of calling us from pay phones for fear of being overheard at the Linton Court Apartments in Murieston Road (Dalry / Gorgie area), West Central Edinburgh, which she shared with many others – many others who cannot now be traced, who fled the country in “fear” to India (in one case) and who were not properly questioned or sought by the Scottish police in the course of their “investigations” into Annie’s death. In short, we believe that Annie was murdered (a murder that was made to look like “suicide” or a “tragic accident”) in or around Prestwick on the night of Saturday 3 December 2005, and that her killer or killers are still at large.

My family’s vain efforts (in trips to Scotland, via letters and in telephone calls over these past 19 months of “hell” and anguish) to get the Scottish police and Crown Office to take our concerns and many unanswered questions on board have been met with the most appalling (perhaps typical) bureaucratic indifference and stonewalling at every single attempt in trying to get them to take us seriously, and to properly investigate the many anomalies and unanswered questions surrounding Annie’s very suspicious death. “Case closed … End of Story” is how it presently stands, with your “caring” and “highly-efficient” Scottish “justice” system. Well, Mr MacAskill it is not “Case closed … End of Story” as far as this mother and family are concerned – not by a country mile.

My first port of call now, in my quest for the truth (“the whole truth and nothing but the truth”) and “Justice for Annie”, must therefore be to your door as a Scotland Minister and as a most powerful and influential man in your “beautiful land” – Annie loved Edinburgh, Scotland and your kinfolk and spoke with a passion of your “beautiful country”, so PLEASE don’t let that passion and spirit down and help us to get to the truth and “Justice for Annie”.

We, the Borjesson family and Annie’s close friends, do hereby formally request that you take our concerns, unanswered questions and serious allegations on board and have Annie’s case re-opened and properly investigated by the Scottish police and Crown Office, and that a Fatal Accident Inquiry be immediately convened to have the very suspicious circumstances prior to and subsequent to Annie’s premature death thoroughly, impartially and independently examined in front of a Scottish Sheriff.

We hope and pray, as we lay our beloved Annie to rest next Tuesday (26 June 2007), that you won’t let our family and Annie’s close friends down, and you will help us get to the truth and …… “Justice for Annie”.

I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Yours sincerely,

Guje Borgesson

(Annie’s devastated Mummy)

al,
your views are very appreciated, this forum is good to bounce idea's off.

brendan and patrick were never friends even going as far as patrick saying he heard it was brendan and saying that to the police.

i don't know patrick docherty but i don't think he was involved in the death of mrs irvine i think his past caught up with him.

but as needs must i have to stand by him as both are in the same boat so to speak, brendan would like to thank everyone who are on his side in his fight for justice.

david leslie {notw} had a conversation with a prisoner in saughton jail the prisoner did not even know brendan but said how the prison system was all talking about his innocence.

mr salmond
mr macaskill

the future of scotland is in your hands don't let it slip away.

keep up the good work iain, al , peter, big wullie . your voices are starting to be noticed,

Yes, FK2, i am aware that your tenacious campaign is predominantly for Brendan.

It may have been my use of the word "friends" in an earlier posting - my mistake.

The latest "decision" by the PF's Office in Kilmarnock may be of interest:

And you "Keep up the good work" too.

Best wishes,

One of the common threads to many cases of injustice is of course, the way our access to justice or legal services is controlled - whether that be by way of legal aid, or even being able to obtain the services of a lawyer at all even on our own money .. and of course ultimately depending on the nature of the case and who or what it involves.

A couple of letters came my way, one leaked from the Scottish Legal Aid Board which you can see here :
http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=576112612&size=l

and another 'inadvertently' from my own lawyer, here :
http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=576112634&size=l

What bothered me about the first letter, from the Chief Executive of the Law Society of Scotland, Douglas Mill, to the Scottish Legal Aid Board, was it's familiarity - which turned out to be exactly that .. a policy by the Law Society of Scotland and the legal profession to see that anyone trying to pursue problems with crooked lawyers or the legal profession, got no access to public funds, even though thy qualified for legal aid, particularly because they had been financially ruined by their lawyer.

I called SLAB when I got that letter to be told in not so many words "oh this is common from across the road" - across the road being the Law Society of Scotland HQ in Drumsheugh Gardens .. but I managed to get it in the Scotsman at the time, who did a good write up on it here :
http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom....=set-72157594551333786&size=l

I put it in the press, because I was told I was "damned lucky to get a copy of the letter" and to try & flush out a few similar stories, and yes, people came to me alleging similar treatment - so we can safely say the control of access to legal aid itself, is also heavily influenced by those who thrive & profit from our injustice.

The other equally serious letter, perhaps more troubling, was released to me by my own lawyer, who rang me to say the Director of Client Relations at the Law Society had threatned him over his service to me in a letter received that day - faxed straight to me for my attention.

What had occurred was that the Director of Client Relations at the Law Society had ordered my lawyer not to take my instructions with regard to calling Law Society officials as witnesses in both a case of Judicial Review against the Law Society over findings in a fairly famously covered complaint against a lawyer in the Borders, or even citing productions of evidence from the actual Law Society investigation & conclusions - many of which were already reported in the Scotsman too ...

A more direct approach by the Law Society to controlling access to justice then .. simply ordering the clients solicitor not to do any work and certainly not to do anything which may bring the house down.

These letters which I was lucky to receive are common from what I hear in many cases, where lawyers simply drop their clients on orders from the profession's leaders - or worse, simply string their poor clients along for years, milking them for money all the while and knowing their case will get nowhere.

I wouldn't mind betting a few or all of us here probably have suffered the same kinds of interference maybe even from the same individuals or organisations... and with a judicial inquiry on the cards for Shirley McKie's case and the culture of injustice in Scotland - evidence such as this from many people should help to show the levels of control which have been exerted by a few people & organisations, to maintain this very culture of injustice we have all suffered - and which many of our politicians including our Justice Minsiter have long known about.

Peter rightly concluded:

I wouldn't mind betting a few or all of us here probably have suffered the same kinds of interference maybe even from the same individuals or organisations... and with a judicial inquiry on the cards for Shirley McKie's case and the culture of injustice in Scotland - evidence such as this from many people should help to show the levels of control which have been exerted by a few people & organisations, to maintain this very culture of injustice we have all suffered - and which many of our politicians including our Justice Minister have long known about.

Oh yes Peter, he certainly DOES know about cases of shabby, incompetent, complacent, indifferent and negligent legal "representation" by his former(?) lawyer colleagues (i can GUARANTEE you that one), and about "this very culture of injustice we have all suffered", but will he and Salmond do anything about it?

That is the question we all want answered ASAP.

MacAskill (especially) has to state truthfully, openly and publicly (once and for all) where his allegiances now lie, as i said (and challenged him to do) just a couple of days ago ...... and do so again here:
http://shirleymckie.myfastforum.org/sutra335.php&highlight=#335

So, "Kenny boy" ...... What is it to be??????

The 4,990,000 non-lawyers are still waiting for a definitive answer.

With the impending funeral of Annie Borjesson next Tuesday 26 June, i am re-posting this letter (inserting the relevant links) to Mr MacAskill, Scotland's Cabinet Secretary FOR Justice, in the hope that he will now do the right, proper and decent thing, and get this case re-opened and thoroughly investigated by the Scottish authorities once and for all - anything less brings SHAME upon him and the People of Scotland.

We trust he will now do the decent thing for this devastated family.

SCCRC Liars and Cover-Up Merchants

Please find enclosed link to latest you-tube video

This video is conclusive proof that SCCRC tried to cover up what my grounds were, They assured me they had sent Solicitor (Shaw) a copy of his own ID Parade report but from the video you can hear Shaw say he never saw it.
I was not afforded the same Enquiry by SCCRC that Megrahi Has.
Quite the contrary It was because i was complaining about his QC that my case was covered up by SCCRC.
This video exposes them for what they are "Cover-Up Merchants"
