I'm Sandra Dick at the Evening News... I've recently been involved in highlighting Danielle Scott's case in the Edinburgh Evening News and I'm very very keen to raise the case of Annie Borjesson. I've emailed her family's website but had no response. If anyone involved - Annie's family or campaigners for an FAI for her _ happen to read this, please can you get in touch. I'm at 0131 620 8670, or email sdick@edinburghnews.com
thanks

Dear Sandra and All of You who cares for Annie!
Annies family, who is having a very difficult time. Especially now because of the delayed funeral of their beloved daughter, also needs a FAI to get closure and to get the truth about what happened to Annie.
At this very moment the family needs all our sympaties and understanding during this comming weeks, when their daughter and our dear friend Annie will be put in ground to her final rest
Please think of them in Your Prayers!
With Love

Dear Angel,
Thank you for your kind words re the above poem.
Alas, I cannot lay claim to being the author of that very well known poem of condolence – though, it appears, that many others have tried to over the years. It first came to public attention 75 years ago, and I am quite a way from being that vintage!
Your interpretation of the beautiful words from the poem in relation to your dear departed friend, Annie, are equally beautiful. I especially liked this comparison:
" I am that gentle autumnal rain"
Every time the gentle rain will appear , Annie is sitting in heaven crying for Justice not only for her , but for ALL of them who needs a closure.
Very well said.
I note you have posted a letter from Guje to Messrs Salmond and MacAskill over here: http://shirleymckie.myfastforum.org/sutra298.php#298
On reading that letter I was filled with nothing but sorrow and anger for the Borjesson family, and nothing but contempt and shame for the way they have been treated by the Scottish authorities over the past 19-plus months – no doubt Cathy Jamieson, Scotland’s former dubious and brilliantly lampooned (“Watson’s Wind Up”, BBC Radio Scotland) Minister “for Justice”, had her dirty hands on this case too. It’s absolutely despicable, in my view, and yet another damning indictment of our “world-class” policing and Crown prosecution services – especially in Edinburgh and down Prestwick / Kilmarnock / Ayrshire way (Ms Jamieson’s near neck of the woods per chance? … Hmmm!?).
Annie’s appalling case will hardly instil confidence in the Swedish population contemplating a visit to Scotland and perhaps then needing the “help” of our discredited Scottish “justice” system while here, now will it … Messrs Salmond and MacAskill?
I’m sure Guje’s letter from the heart will have the desired impact on Salmond and MacAskill, and they will do the right, proper and JUST thing …… RE-OPEN THE CASE and INITIATE A FATAL ACCIDENT INQUIRY IMMEDIATELY for this badly-treated, desperate and grieving family. If they do not…………
The breakthrough in the case that Angel, Annie’s desperate family and other close friends are all looking for will come very soon, and Messrs Salmond and MacAskill will now respond positively (won’t you gents?) to that heart-rending letter of appeal (to their humanity) from the Borjesson family.
Annie’s friends in Scotland and the regular posters on this forum will, I’m sure, be thinking of the Borjesson family at this terribly difficult and very sad time for them and Annie’s close Swedish friends.
My personal heartfelt condolences go once again to Angel, Guje, her family and Annie’s friends when she’s finally laid to rest next Tuesday, 26 June.
May Annie Rest In Peace…………
(And, hopefully, “Justice for Annie” and her family will finally be done …… and be SEEN to be done).
With all good wishes,
Al
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumnal rain.
When you awake in the morning hush,
I am the soft uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.

Message for Sandra
It could be that Annie's family are not up to talking to the press just now, what with Annie's funeral next Tuesday, 26 June.
I'm sure they might welcome your help at some point in the proceedings, and regular posters will also welcome your watchful eyes and help at various stages too.
Thanks for posting Sandra and letting us know you are looking in on the forum and want to help when / if you can.
Best wishes,
Al

Just to reiterate my message on the other Annie forum... I am very sorry if I've upset the family at this extremely emotional time. I'm aware that they have a very difficult time ahead and I would expect they will need space to deal with that.
When the time is right for them, then I'm here to work alongside them and highlight Annie's case.
I'm new to the forum - but there seems to be other cases being discussed on here that I should be looking into. If anyone feels they want to email me to discuss personal injustices that I can look into, please do. I'm on sdick@edinburghnews.com
best wishes - deepest sympathies to Annie's family.

Dear Sandra,
For what it’s worth, and knowing your work as I do, I believe you are one of the better, more genuine and trustworthy journos out there who does try to help get peoples stories out there.
You weren’t to know that Annie’s funeral is only taking place next Tuesday, 26 June – nearly 20 months on from when she was found on Prestwick beach. It is absolutely SCANDALOUS that Annie’s family are only getting to lay her to rest now, over a year and a half on, and it can only add to their torment, anguish and grief.
I’m sure they will be in touch when (if) they feel able to take up your offer to help give them more coverage of the case.
And others who regularly post on this much-needed forum (and well done to Iain for setting it up and giving people a voice / chance to try to get their cases of injustice out there) will, I’m sure, take up your offer to help – if they feel able to talk to you.
Thanks again for looking in, trying to help Annie’s family (and others who feel they need it) and please keep your eye on us here to see if there are others you may be able to help.
Best wishes,
Al |

www.annierockstar.com
This words below, I got inspired to write them to honour a person.
I feel forces all around me
Come on knight and raise your head
So many thoughts to share
All this energy to give
Barely holding together
Unlike those who hide behind tears
You’re the one
Our mission is carved like runes on stone
Your name will be put up in pride on the wall
Scream from the Highland tops
Truth, Freedom and Justice will come for us All
You tell me that you are falling
Arrows are killing you inside
All you want for us is that what’s real
Something we all can touch and can feel
Soon there will come that day
The bells of justice will ring
Above all the others the ringing will fly
This brings out tears in my eye
I will scream from the Highland tops
Truth, Freedom and Justice have come for us All

Below is an edited exchange between Al and Peter earlier this evening. I am re-posting it here, for obvious reasons (Peter also covered Annie's case on his excellent blog back in early March):
Peter
I noticed while skimming quickly your "Injustice Scotland" website just now (will look at more carefully later, when more time) that Guje had posted yet another appeal for help, four months ago on 26 February - The murder of my daughter ( http://groups.msn.com/injusticesc...;LastModified=4675611991245086098 ).
Let's hope Messrs Salmond and MacAskill take cognisance of the letter of appeal to them both from Guje and her family, and now (IMMEDIATELY) do the right and decent thing and re-open the case as this devastated family formally request. If they do not ... then i'm afraid the gloves must come off to force them to do the right, proper and humane thing for this desperate mother and her family.
__________
Al .. on the matter of Anne Borgesson's death, I did a piece on my blog in March here :
http://petercherbi.blogspot.com/2...ired-in-resolving-suspicious.html
.. also writing to Margo McDonald on the issue at the time, as I repesct Margo for her independence ifrom the main parties .. her advice to wait for the new Executive which we now have was worth it, and Mr MacAskill as Justice Secretary should now do the proper thing and get the Crown Office to look at Annie's case again a bit more competently than they did before - and with a bit of oversight too, rather than letting the Fiscal arbitrarily decide whats best for themselves.

*DEAR ALL*
Thank You for the lovely condolences for Annie’s family!
It was a very beautiful funeral, the church was very beautiful, and old, somebody said, from the year of 1400. Now rebuild of course.
Inside it was small and we All sat together beside Annie’s coffin. the flower arrangements was so beautiful, If I could have made one wish I would have wished that the flowers would be fresh and cover her grave for ever and ever.
The weather was not so god, the rain was poring down, I said, "All the Angels must be crying"
First the minister spoke the words of Good, and then he spoke some words about Annie.
He also read a lovely poem!
We all sang together and then the family, who had brought a CD recorder to the church, played a couple of songs that Annie loved.
Then, the hardest of it all they played the song that Annie had recorded! It was almost unbearably to hear her beautiful voice reaching out and touching all of us!
My tears just poured down.......My heart ached over the family, this must be so terrible for them , to burry their beloved daughter, not knowing what happened to her , not knowing if they will ever find the truth.
The men carried the coffin out to the small coffin wagon, and we walked behind them to the open grave!
Oh my good I thought when I saw the open grave, so deep and so dark, and the rain who was pouring down, Oh my good Annie would be put down into that dark whet place!
Then the white coffin was put down.
Annie’s family, relatives and we friends put our flowers down on Annie, I put my flowers in and I put one beautiful Thistle in on top of the coffin. My son took his necklace of; it is a sign of protection on the medallion! My son held the medallion in his hand for a minute and then bent down before Annie and he said something to her, and then he through the medallion down!
I was so proud over what he had done, and I got strength by now thinking;
Annie is now protected from all evil in eternity, with the beautiful flowers from the ground, the tears form all the Angels, the thistle from the caring people of Scotland and the medallion with the sign of protection!
And then I said to Annie through the rain, with my tears falling,
” ANNIE I WILL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE"

Dear All !
Well said Ian, We can only agree with the words You wrote;
"The fight for JUSTICE will continue. Her memory demands no less"
Annies family asked me to tell You All that they can feel the love and caring from the concerned people of Scotland all the way to Sweden through the thousand winds that blow.
And especially when they read what You have written on the shirleymckie forum.
Thank you all for lighting candles, taking a moment out of our day, to respect the memory of Annie and We could indeed feel Your thoughts and prayers fly across the North Sea as a warm embrace.
We hope that, “Justice for Annie” and her family will finally be done …… and be SEEN to be done.
Now We hope and pray that Mr Alex Salmond MP / MSP, First Minister of Scotland and Mr Kenny MacAskill MSP, Scottish Cabinet Secretary "for JUSTICE" will HELP the family and all of Us friends and People of Scotland to get the death of Annie Börjesson reopened.
Please Mr MacAskill and Mr Salmond, please do the right thing, there is nothing that can compensate the family, there is no retroactive help that is coming to the devastated family!!!! BUT the caring and loving help from You.
Please, I don’t know if you have families, sons, daughters, Wifes, but Please think if something like this would happen to your children. Or one of your loved ones. (God forbid)
Please think of that, and think of the family that THIS has happened to, they have lost their beloved daughter, she was only 30 years old.
She fell in love with Scotland and she died during very mysterious circumstances in the arms of your beautiful country.
Please help Annies family to get the truth.
They told us, that they should not investigate what happened to Annie after 16.05, when she was last spotted on the CCTV camera at Station Road in Prestwick.
Why?
*Angel*
