Latest Press Article - This story relates to the prisoner who we suspect was granted temporary home leave on the weekend of Kevins death, and was we suspect involved with Kevins death.
The authorities continue to refuse our request to disclose whether this prisoner was or was not on home leave at the time of Kevins death. WHY??

The information of whether or not this man was at large should never be covered by Data Protection.
I think the prison are covering up their mistakes because this would be bigger than the Hawk escaping.
Can anyone imagine a prisoner committing murder then going back to prison to be released later ?
What better alibi Aided and Abeted by the prison service ?
Allan, have you any idea what this man was locked up for and how long he was serving at the time.
In America you can see online who is in what jail and how long they are serving see here:

They even have mugshots online.
Time our country opened up their secrets and stopped being so secretive.
Very Best Wishes To All The McLeods.
I wish you all the very best.

Your comment "I think the prison are covering up their mistakes because this would be bigger than the Hawk escaping", is what we have been saying for years.
We firmly believe that that this prisoner and / or an off duty police officer was involved with Kevins death. As a retired senior detective who was assisting the family once said, quote, " You could'nt make up what has gone on within this case".
A 2 year jail sentence was imposed on this individual near the end of March 1996 who had acted as a drugs courier, his final release date was the end of February 1997. He was initially detained at Inverness Prison, then transferred to Castle Huntly for drug rehab, then returned to Inverness from where he was finally released.
All our information points to this individual being out of prison on the weekend of Kevins death 7-9 February 1997.
Personally, I dont believe that MSP Jamie Stone will get a definitive answer from Mr MacAskill as he wont want to get caught out as being mendacious. I think MacAskill will warn Mr Stone to back off.
Wullie, your comments along with others on this forum are very much appreciated by Kevins parents and I. |

A few years back, I was involved in a case where a woman out walking with her children was terrorised by a guy who seemed to be trying to separate off at least one of her children. She thought she recognised him as a local guy who had been convicted of murdering a local child some years previously, although he obviously looked a bit different now.
All attempts to find out if the guy she though it was had been on home leave that weekend were met with point blank refusals to answer or outright denials.
I found out via a prison officer that he had, indeed, been on home leave that weekend, and the description the woman had given was an accurate description of him as he had become over the years in prison. However, we could not use the information, as it would have cost the guard his job.
If was are allowing people with violent pasts home leave as part of their "rehabilitation," surely any suggestion of questionable behaviour during that home leave should be addressed immediately, and the home leave/rehabilitation process re-assessed?
The refusal of all of the authorities involved to confirm the whereabouts of the prisoner in Kevin's case simply stinks of cover-up - they clearly think the public is too stupid to see it. _________________ As long as one heart still holds on, then hope will never really be gone |

Big Wullie & Angeline.
MSP Jamie Stone is to table his question regarding this prisoner to Mr MacAskill tomorrow. Should Mr MacAskill warn Mr Stone to back off, or refuse to give a definitive answer, such as," I have been in touch with the Crown and SPS and have been advised that to release this information would not be in the public interest". We will then assume that this prisoner was indeed out, involved with Kevins death, and the authorities have been protecting and covering up this prisoners horrific crime.
I have again written to the Lord Advocate requesting, and to conclude this issue, that she personally confirms that this prisoner was not at liberty from prison on the weekend of Kevins death. Yet again, she has referred my request to the Area PF who then refers us back to past correspondence of no consequence.
Also, you will never believe this, I recently lodged a complaint with the Lord Advocate regarding the Area Procurator Fiscals conduct in Kevins case. Guess who she referred my complaint to ? Oh Yes, the Area PF. INCREDIBLE. !!
I suspect he will respond by saying, Look. I am whiter than white, and Mr Wonderful. Now just bugger of and leave us alone.
