Samples destroyed? I wonder if they were found because a solicitor decided that if they could not be found that a case existed where not enough evidence existed to convict this man without them, I suppose we will never know.
On the subject of compensation this should be immediate and plentiful to allow him some care and the best medical help possible. This man has been away so long it would not surprise me to know that he is frightened of the world he finds himself in. It sounds as though he needs some psychological diagnosis and help. It may be this would also help with some of the previous problems connected to the false admissions of guilt to other crimes.
The Barrister Reg Chand deserves the very minimum of a good pat on the back and a wee hug bless him. A great pity we do not have more like him.
