I am greatly reassured after yesterday's visit to the Inquiry Hearing Centre in Maryhill that we have the basis for an effective Inquiry that will be open to everyone to attend.
The facilities are excellent and I am looking forward to meeting some of you at the opening of the oral hearings on 2 June 2009.
An update and photograph of the Centre can be seen at:

Mr McKie
The place looks lovely.
We wish you and Shirley every success in this quest for the truth.
Me and my partner will be coming to show our support. I do hope that others will turn up to support you too. What time does it start? I can't see that on the site.
You have given so much support to so many people over the years and it has been a wonderful thing.
Praying that truth and justice will finally prevail.

I know I will not get to show my support personally but I hope many others will. Good luck, I hope all goes as you want it too but I can send a wee prayer with you, God Bless. _________________ We are the parents in Scotland denied justice for our children who had illegal post mortem's or had organs removed illegally at post mortem. |

Nice to see you back Lydia.
I know there are a few of us going to attend the Inquiry.
I too hope that Mr McKie and Shirley finally get what they have fought for so long for. |

May the TRUTH and JUSTICE prevail in this indelible stain on the Scottish "justice" system.
Best wishes to all for the future who are still seeking the TRUTH and JUSTICE ... within Scotland's beleaguered and greatly discredited "justice" system.
Evidence begins at McKie inquiry

I have read many of the articles in the media re the inquiry.
I feel angry for Shirley Mckie and her family that these nasty rumours are still being rehashed with no proof, but are being used as a smoke screen to avoid the real issues. Some of which are:
1) Shirley Mckie was aquitted of any wrong doing.
2) There is the brutal murderer of Marion Ross on the loose and they seem to have given up on finding this person. They have let someone away with murder, because they cannot admit they are wrong.
3) They still do not want to admit that there was mistakes made with the fingerprints. Despite experts worldwide telling them they made a mistake with the three fingerprints. They wrongly identified Shirley McKies finger print, Marion Ross's and David Asbury's.
4) Shirley Mckie has been victimised beyond belief and her good character has been dragged through the mud, without her being able to respond to her attackers and defend herself.
5) Gossip and innuendo appears to be all some people can throw at this woman.

I haven't managed to get to the inquiry this week due to family commitments but will be there next week.
I would urge people to go and show support for the McKie Family and for justice sake. |

I have attended every session of the enquiry and was glad to see Sir Anthony Campbell redact the Scandalous and Unfounded allegations Les Brown (ex Policeman) has made against Shirley over the years.
I also have serious concerns for SCRO because their main witness's have not turned up for the opening address's.
Peter Swann and Martin Leadbetter have not been seen at the start of the Enquiry with their Lawyer Mr Russell.
I wonder if they have seen the light and no longer wish to be involved, Time will tell, but remember this was the lawyer representing the relatives of Marion Ross.
Why is he not present to lodge an opening speech ?
This must be very alarming for SCRO and Fiona McBride
