I'm sorry I couldn't attend today, but my sympathies & respects to Guje & family, Maria, and all the supporters.

We will all keep Annie in our thoughts.

May Annie rest in peace, and the law should ensure that justice be served.

Like you Peter, i was unable to attend the Memorial last night, but by all accounts it went very well.

Yes indeed, "the law should ensure that justice be served".  We all know it should.  But sadly, in Scotland, as all the regulars on this forum over the past seven months know only too well,  the law is letting us all down badly ... and continues to do so, under the current SNP administration and their law unto herself Lord Advocate, Elish Angiolini.

But we hope that somehow, someday soon, Annie's case will be reopened and thoroughly investigated to give Guje, her family, Maria and friends the answers they all seek ... and so Annie can finally Rest In Peace.

My thoughts are with Guje, her family and Maria on this day especially.

While Monday evenings' memorial to Anne was a sad affair it was also uplifting.

As the wind and the waves lashed against the sea wall at Prestwick beach Guje and Maria stood silently surrounded by many of the Scots who have supported their efforts to establish the truth.

While it was pain and suffering that brought us all together I saw only the courage and dignity of a mother and her friend determined to establish the truth whatever that might be.

On Tuesday I accompanied Guje and Maria to Parliament where MSP Aileen Campbell and her aide Anne McLaughlin briefed them on their meeting with the police and we explored the various issues still to be resolved.

As a result the police will be asked further questions as Guje and Maria continue their own investigation.
