Danielle Scott (RIP) - FAI announced

Just heard on BBC Radio Scotland lunchtime news that there is to be a FAI into Danielle's case.

Her mother, Lorraine, seems pleased by this announcement (NOT BEFORE TIME), according to the report.

So, maybe our postings are making a slight difference and people are watching and acting right enough - i know of quite a few journos that do!

Yes, this is indeed wonderful news for Lorraine and her family.

But i note from Sandra Dick's report* in today’s Edinburgh Evening News that the FAI is not going to convene until early next year ... some 3 years on from Danielle's wholly avoidable tragic death. Far, far too long to wait for any grieving and tormented family.

Let’s hope ALL the facts in this most appalling case of Edinburgh City Council incompetence, indifference, complacency, gross negligence and care failure (WRIT LARGE … yet again) are allowed to see the light of day, and ALL those responsible for that poor child’s most appalling demise are held to proper public account; named, shamed and …… SACKED IN DISGRACE ………… WITHOUT THE USUAL HUGE SEVERANCE PAY-OFFS.

Now, i REPEAT......

What about FAIs for Craig Gowans, Karen Dewar, Annie Borjesson...... ??????

Apparently the prelim hearing will be held on 14 Jan 2008 and the FAI Is to start on 11 Feb 2008.
My thoughts are with Lorraine and all her Family at this time of Need.
Great News for Lorraine and i hope those responsible for Danielle's untimely death are held to Book ie, Social workers etc that were charged with the task of Danielle's wellbeing and the ones who did not listen to the Parents Plea's.

Indeed Wullie, and i hope the Edinburgh City Council employees who were charged with that child's "care" are properly held to public account and then sacked for their undoubted incompetence and gross negligence ... which is certainly the case here ... YET AGAIN.

Every success next January and February to Lorraine and her family - as i said in my previous post; far far too long after Danielle's tragic and avoidable death ... by which time, no doubt, a lot of the Edinburgh City Council staff involved will have conveniently left that corrupt council's employ or been well paid / pensioned off (Roy Jobson, previous Director of "Children's Services", has already long gone with the massive golden handshake and annual pension for example). It's always the way ... these swine will do anything and everything to avoid paying out compensation and avoid admitting they were grossly negligent.

Isn't that right Mr Tom Aitchison (and your other 6 pals in charge of "services" in Edinburgh)???

It would seem that Danielles' FAI is now not due to start until June....nearer 3 and half years after Danielle was killed.(ps Meaney was sentenced to 3 yrs 8mnths...less time off?).maybe someone can explain to a poor uneducated Englishman why it's an FAI and not a Public Inquiry anyway?People need to be brought to book !!! (after all how many people die in so called 'accidents' when there is documentary evidence to the contrary L&B Police and others were approached,days before Danielle died,to try and prevent Danielles' death ,secondly why is it taking so long ?is it as I asked the Scottish Judiciary ?that 'they' want people to retire/ die off /resign/emigrate before ALL the facts materialise? and there are many !.........
Last but not least before and since Danielle died I found 'devolvement' means that many including your MP legitamately and conveniently avoid issues, its a Scottish problem refer to the Scottish equivalent if there is one....its a Disunited Kingdom now....Out of interest just find out what your MP can do for you

I am sorry to learn that Danielle's FAI has been put back another 5 months, but it comes as very little surprise to me ... for the reasons you outlined, as did i in my previous post ... the big clear out of the many guilty parties in Danielle's wholly preventable death.

I wouldn't waste your time approaching MacAskill or Salmond about it though. From vast personal experience, they will do absolutely NOTHING when approaching them about a case such as Danielle's ... or any neglect case involving their good buddies in Edinburgh Corrupt Council ... under the corrupt rule of their best pal Tom Aitchison over the past 14 years ... an absolute swine of a man (please sue me any time you wish sir!).

You don't believe that they could fail to take any positive action and would cover up for their good buddies in such a case? You betcha! Just ask them why they have buried, and are continuing to do so as i write, the appalling Mr X case at SNP HQ ... a case that has gone on since 1992 with the local authority (and many others), and was known to MacAskill from August 1999 ... who, from the outset, covered up for everyone involved of course ... and appeared to thrive on the abuse, neglect and great injustice perpetrated against the individual and his family.

What chance for justice for anyone in Scotland with these two corrupt, cover-ass politicos at the helm?

We await a reply to our latest letter (No.12 over the last year) of Thursday 24 January, Mr Salmond. And of course, those very damning voluminous case files (and graphic / harrowing photographs) that you and MacAskill are unlawfully withholding from the family concerned.

Thanks for drawing this to readers' attention Wullie.

Sad it has taken one year from the announcement of this FAI for it to finally get under way - further prolonging a mother's grief, stress and heartache over the avoidable death of her sick daughter who was let down badly by the Edinburgh authorities charged with her "care and protection", but who failed her miserably.

This, in my experience, is not an isolated case of neglect of "care" under the stewardship of Edinburgh City Council C.E.O, Tom Aitchison, and his departmental directors over the past 14 years.

Time they were all properly held to public account and the local and national politicos stopped defending and protecting them as they have over the years ... Salmond and MacAskill included, as i can easily prove any time.

We wish Lorraine well at this difficult time and hope those who were supposed to monitor, protect and "care" for her vulnerable and unwell daughter are properly held to public account for her avoidable and tragic death.
