It would seem that he is committed to a Judicial Enquiry into Shirley's case and to some extent this helps our cries.
Committed to one committed to all i would suggest.
Justice at all times must be seen to be done Mr MacAskill.

While the following is not an Open Letter, it is a clear statement to the two men concerned:

A clear message to Messrs Alex Salmond and Kenny MacAskill from Peter Cherbi below … but are they listening and will they ever act to rid Scotland of all the injustice that is being constantly highlighted on this Forum???

Obviously they are otherwise occupied with ongoing events following yesterday’s terrorist attack at Glasgow Airport (along with their “good friend”, the Lord Advocate, Elish Angiolini … hmmm!), but they must be seen to act on ALL the issues and individual cases raised time and again here, ever since they were elected to serve The People of Scotland (NOT their elite establishment lawyer chums) two months ago.

Can I suggest they start by re-opening the Annie Borgesson case as repeatedly requested and highlighted on this Forum.

"Wisdom, Justice, Compassion, Integrity" – the words inscribed on the Mace at the Scottish Parliament.

Note especially the words JUSTICE and INTEGRITY … Messrs Salmond and MacAskill.

Thanks for your comments everyone and now that the SCCRC have made the conclusions of their Lockerbie Trial report public, those of us who fight injustice in Scotland have something more to add to our arsenal, in a sense.

The test of clearing injustice of course, falls to Kenny MacAskill, Alex Salmond, and others in the SNP who know full well of the suffering of their constituents, & others. That suffering cannot & should not be ignored - time to act, and if you do, you will do Scotland a favour.

For those of you who wish to send me your complaints reports from the Law Society of Scotland & the Scottish Legal Services Ombudsman, go ahead. I'm sure the public will benefit from seeing these reports published on the internet in their entirety .. and it may bring an increased understanding of the injustice people go through when taking issue with the legal profession itself.

Anyone see the look on Salmonds Face in the Sunday Mail.

I think he had every right to put his case in front of her Majesty AND THE SMIRK SAYS IT ALL.
I am in charge in Scotland now Mam.
Lets hope his cries for a Just Scotland include now making our Judiciary more open and accountable.
Mr MacAskill should now initiate investigations into what i have been saying about the conduct of SCCRC.
Their report and grounds for referral Stink and reflect on their refusal to refer my own case.
Gauci seeing a photo they say four days before the trial Undermines his evidence.
The same Senior legal Officer (Johnston) Refused to listen to my grounds that.
1. Police showed photos Immediately before i stood on an ID Parade
2. Witnesses were shown photos twice.
This was normal practise for 1982 Johnston said, They also refused to Apply their Current Law Policy to this ground.
Their decision shows that they employ double standards with some cases being fully investigated and others cast aside.
I hope to have all their decisions in my case ready for my flickr site soon, where they will be open for all to see.
Never before has anyone published their statements of reasons, Watch this space.

I understand our greatly esteemed Cabinet Secretary "for JUSTICE", Kenny MacAskill MSP, is to be Lesley Riddoch's latest guest on "Riddoch Questions" at 1.15pm today.

Pity he's a man of many very fine words, but very few fine actions:

Annie Borjesson (RIP), Karen Dewar (RIP), Craig Gowans (RIP), Annie Davies (RIP), Kevin McLeod (RIP), Mr X abuse and neglect scandal / cover up (which MacAskill and Salmond are burying at SNP HQ, and have done for years now), Peter Cherbi, William Beck, Brendan Dixon (Free the Killie 2), Al-Megrahi / Lockerbie, Shirley McKie, Kerelaw (child abuse and neglect scandal), SCCRC and Crown Office dubious decisions / lack of disclosure and devious practices...... the list is endless where fine actions have been glaringly lacking.

Wonder if Salmond will be his sidekick, as was the case when Salmond appeared on the first show a few weeks back?

Programme will time out, after it is put on the BBC Scotland website, by same time next Friday, 13th July ... lucky for some!

I refer to the letter from your Office Manager, Hannah Bardell, dated Friday 7 March, which I only received on Wednesday 12 March. This was in response to my 14th letter to you over the past 14 months in which I request the return of confidential photographs and files from the SNP and for a full and wholly impartial independent inquiry into the “care”, ill-treatment, neglect and abuse of my son over all these years – the full case circumstances, event by event.

I note that, yet again, you refuse to respond to me personally or answer my questions about whether you or Ms Sturgeon discussed this case with Mr MacAskill and when you talked to him about the case. I also note that Hannah Bardell ends her very dismissive response by stating: As this is Mr Salmond’s constituency office, parliamentary rules dictate that we only intervene in constituency cases. Therefore, I am writing to inform you that any further correspondence to this office will not receive a response. How convenient. This is precisely what Ms Sturgeon said in her letter to me 3 years ago, on 7 April 2005.

When I first wrote to you 14 months ago on 12 February 2007 (and subsequently on 1 and 9 March 2007), 7 weeks prior to the dissolution of parliament and 3 months prior to the election itself, I was writing appealing for your help and intervention in this case “as the Leader of the SNP (and potentially the next First Minister of Scotland) with the power to make things happen amongst your ranks” and for “this matter [to be] fully resolved before the dissolution of the Holyrood Parliament at the end of March [2007]”. A reminder of my first letter to you is attached yet again.

You knew fine that given my and my family’s justified anger at Mr MacAskill’s actions and inactions in this case (from the very outset in August 1999, over 8½ years ago), I had no intentions of contacting him ever again, especially after a further 6 letters appealing for his help and intervention going to his office between 19 January and 20 June 2005, and then another 7 letters between 27 March 2006 and 16 January 2007 – not including the letter copied to him by Ms Sturgeon of 18 August 2006, which I have now copied to you twice.

Whilst I accept that the tone of my letters to you became angry and accusatory, from my sixth letter dated 27 September 2007 onwards, I can make no apologies to you for that at this point in time – especially given your continued procrastination, intransigence, criminal collusion and concealment, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and theft of my family’s property.

I would have continued to admire and respect you Mr Salmond had you done the right, fair, just and decent thing in this appalling case, when I first approached you 14 months ago seeking your help and intervention. You had ample opportunity on 3 occasions prior to the dissolution of parliament at the end of March 2007 to try to help build bridges and resolve matters. Instead you decided, no doubt with the pending Scottish elections at the forefront of your mind, to just fob me off and hope the case would go away. You and / or Mr MacAskill should have taken a far more conciliatory, just, fair, humane and compassionate approach to matters and called me and / or other very concerned parties into your offices at SNP HQ on McDonald Road (or into Bute House at No. 6 Charlotte Square, both but a stone’s throw away from here) to try to discuss and resolve matters, and unreservedly apologise for what has happened at the murky hands of the many unaccountable individuals, agencies and Edinburgh / Scottish authorities involved in what was allowed to happen to my son over all these unimaginable, unbelievable, neglectful, destroyed and lost years. But it would appear that the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation just doesn’t enter the vocabulary or thoughts of the two powerful men who now rule and govern Scotland with an iron fist.

This very serious matter is far from being resolved to any satisfactory conclusion and my mantra remains the same as when I first contacted you 14 months ago:

The formal request for the return of confidential photographs and files from the SNP (currently being unlawfully withheld from my family by the SNP, and very well hidden and buried in Mr MacAskill’s constituency office at SNP HQ on McDonald road, right beside your Duncan Ross) and for a full and wholly impartial independent inquiry into the “care”, ill-treatment, neglect and abuse of my son over all these years still stands – 14 MONTHS (and 16 letters) ON from my initial contact with you.

For goodness sake Mr Salmond, please show this very frail and failing 84-year-old lady (whose life has been completely ruined by what was allowed to happen to her son) that you are the man of "Wisdom, Justice, Compassion, Integrity" I once thought you were, and not just another promise the earth Scottish politico who has let himself be corrupted by the trappings of power … for the sake of myself and all fellow Scots who are currently suffering the most cruel and appalling injustices at the hands of the Scottish authorities, and a beleaguered and greatly discredited justice system.

On Tuesday 16 January 2007 a formal request for the return of confidential photographs and files pertaining to the case of my disabled, abused and ill-treated son was made of your friend and colleague, the SNP Justice Spokesman, Kenny MacAskill MSP. The same request was then made of your friend and colleague, the SNP Deputy Leader, Nicola Sturgeon MSP, after it became patently clear (in his email response on Thursday 18 January 2007) that Mr MacAskill would not co-operate or adhere to this legitimate request. Ms Sturgeon completely ignored these subsequent requests too.

Would you please see to it, as the Leader of the SNP (and potentially the next First Minister of Scotland) with the power to make things happen amongst your ranks, that these confidential, harrowing and disturbing photographs (and the relevant requested files) are returned to my family at the earliest opportunity. These photographs and files do not belong to Mr MacAskill or the SNP. They are the property of my family.

I would like this matter fully resolved before the dissolution of the Holyrood Parliament at the end of March. The photographs and files requested can be sent to me by Special Delivery post (I will reimburse the SNP for the cost of postage if required) or collected from your HQ on McDonald Road – I.D. or a mandate will be provided on request.

Please don’t make a frail 83-year-old lady, now in the winter of her life (a life which has, along with my family’s, been utterly devastated by the ill-treatment, abuse and neglect of a disabled loved one), fight and beg for what is rightly her family’s property – not that of a politician or political party.

I am currently staying with friends in the Scottish Borders, but my mail and answer machine are checked regularly. You can therefore contact me by writing to my home address or by leaving a message on my answer machine.

Please find below (and attached) an appeal to the First Minister Of Scotland, Alex Salmond MSP / MP, in relation to the very sad, tragic and appalling case of a brain injured victim whose case has been whitewashed by the Edinburgh / Scottish authorities over the past 2 decades.

But Mr Salmond still fails to take any positive action and help in any way whatsoever... some 18 months on from the first letter to his office appealing for his help and intervention, and 2 weeks on from the last letter (No.20) – which he just ignores and does nothing about.

So, theft of a family’s property, conspiring to defeat the ends of justice and a flagrant abuse of power and office by Scotland’s First Minister over the past 2 or more years in this most appalling case … and still nothing is done.

Conclusion : Do not waste your time and energies going to Alex Salmond looking for the truth, justice and reconciliation – especially if the case involves his close friends who he appointed into his Cabinet in May 2007 (in this case Kenny MacAskill MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Injustice; and Nicola Sturgeon MSP, Depute First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Health). He will do all in his abusive power to cover up the case and censor it from the wider public. FACT.
