I dont think they are linked as these two names have never came to light since the conviction.

If you look at pictures of them they do look like Brendan and Patrick from a distance.

They must have known she had a safe, reminds me of the crimes in Ayrshire against Oap's a few years back with the ties.

HOPE THEY ENJOY PRISON.

I havent seen the pics of them men. and maybe this is nothing to do with the conviction Pat and Brendan are in prison for.

Just seemed very similar to that case.

Though in this case they have admitted it.

I checked out of curiosity and Glaston is 12.1 miles from Irvine.

Where are the pics of the men?

The sentence these two got was particularly lenient dont you think?

Page 37 the Sun.

One pled guilty the other took it through trial.

Irvine is 12 miles from Galston, it it the same profile as the tie ups round about the time of Mrs Irvine's murder.

A farm house with a safe, near Galston.

A house on the outskirts of Irvine with a safe.

A house near Fenwick large amount of money taken.

And a few more.

All linked by the backroads that could be used in Ayrshire, and the ties used, Electrical ties and commited by stocky built persons.

Might be something to show Brendan's lawyer. Might be something or nothing and just a coincidence. Can't do any harm to ask.

What police force dealt with this one?

U Division,Irvine or Kilmarnock CID  office but all Ayrshire stations were involved in the murder of Mrs Irvine, with officers coming as far apart as Glasgow to deal with it.

Maybe someone from Galston will be in contact if they remember seeing their faces up the Irvine valley, in Galston  Newmilns Or Darvel.

Spooky likeness i must say, but the names dont ring a bell.

There were never any charges brought about the other tie ups.

Yet another old lady attacked in similar circumstances. How many more? This is about the third attack.

Online Petition ~ Justice 4 Brendan Dixon

You can add your signature here:
http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/justice-4-brendan-dixon.html

Text of Petition:
Along with our genuine sympathy for the family and friends of the victim, we the undersigned are also extremely concerned that a terrible injustice has been done to Brendan Dixon. We strongly believe in his innocence and pray that in the interest of truth and justice the Prime Minister, Scottish first Minister and justice Minister will intervene in the conviction and subsequence sentence.

In the absence of relief sought being granted, that of vacating of conviction and sentence, we plead for a full and unconditional pardon or retrial be granted to Brendan Dixon post haste, and that Strathclyde police U-Division, Pitt Street Glasgow and St Marnock street Kilmarnock reveal every detail that has been hidden in this case about the killers of Margaret Irvine.

There is evidence withheld in this case that could have proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Brendan Dixon never committed the Murder of Margaret Irvine in 2003, and that others known to Strathclyde Police committed the crime.

We call on the Prime Minister, Scottish First Minister and Justice Minister to intervene in the case of the innocent men held in connection with this Murder, and order the release of details held of everything relating to the case of Mrs Irvine, and operational matters of U Division, Strathclyde Police regarding their dealing of the case and for them to carry out the threat of taking DNA samples that they said they would do before the arrests of the Men convicted of this serious crime, and find the match for the DNA that they recovered.
