Kenny MacAskill as well as my MSP writing to him was handed an 11 page dossier on cases that the SCCRC just haven't done their job right with.

The above reply was before I handed him my dossier.

He has now written to me via Allison Wood and not even had the decency to answer a single issue we raised.

I had thought with Bill Kidd being an SNP MSP then at least MacAskill would listen to him, at the very least allow Bill and Myself to present an argument to him.

This was not to happen despite the overwhelming evidence that SCCRC is not fit for purpose Mr MacAskill will not answer a single issue raised against them.

Conclusive proof if ever it was needed SCCRC are out of control and answerable to No-One

Not a single issue could Kenny MacAskill answer because he knows we are right and that there should be a review of SCCRC.

Certainly the consistency in their referrals should be looked at.

Mr MacAskill should resign in disgrace.

If he cannot deal with matters of Justice then why is he acting as the Justice Secretary on behalf of the Scottish Public ?

Wullie,

I'm astonished at the reply per Mr McAskill relating to your MSP's submissions. He is the Justice Minister and obviously its within his remit to answer your complaints better than he did. Shocking.

Perhaps your MSP can bring your submissions up in Parlaiment. It seems to me the SCCRC are very protected and answerable to nobody - even the Justice Minister.

Kenny MacAskill's remit includes criminal law and procedure, youth justice, criminal justice social work, police, prisons and sentencing policy, legal aid, legal profession, courts and law reform, anti-social behaviour, sectarianism, human rights, fire and rescue services, community safety, civil contingencies, drugs policy and related matters, liquor licensing, vulnerable witnesses, victim support and civil law, charity law, religious and faith organisations.

So he should be able to reply to Wullie's letter and dossier. It is common manners to respond to people.

when writing to these officials always state that you wish a response to your letter. Give them the 2 weeks to reply and if they do not then contact them again.
